Recreational use and Management of Austaitija national park, Lithuania

This report presents results from a field survey among recreational users in Aukstaitija national park in Lithuania. The project was carried out to provide data about the recreational system of the park which could be used in current management planning. Several topics were covered in the study including; caharacteristics of visitors, tourist attractions, motives for recreation, preferences for management actions, satisfaction, valuations of recreational opportunities, economic effects, and place attachment. Management implications and recommendations are discussed.
