This report presents an evaluation of a project with partners Junior Achievement – Young Enterprise Norway (JA-YE Norway) and Junior Achievement Uganda (JAU). The project is called “Entrepreneurship in Education”, and it lasts from 2009 to 2012, and the funding for the project is provided by the Norwegian Agency for Development Cooperation (Norad). The main goal of the project is to provide support to JAU in their attempts to facilitate entrepreneurship initiatives in Ugandan schools, from primary level to university level. In March 2011, the Eastern Norway Research Institute was chosen to evaluate the project. Our work is finalised with this report. The conclusions in this report are based upon the following data gathered in Norway and Uganda: document studies, two group interviews with students involved with the Company Programme (student enterprises), and individual interviews with: the CEO of JAU, the chair of JAU, the CEO of Federation of Uganda Employers (FUE), a representative from the Ministry of Education, two teachers involved in entrepreneurship education, and the project coordinator from JA-YE Norway.
